Computer tutoring is $55 per hour, discounts available for children under 12, email for details.
I have used computers since Commodore VC 20 and C64, and PCs since they were called XTs and MS-DOS was brand new.
I used all Windows operating systems, many Unix and Linux systems, and currently my main Platform is a Mac (Dual Core Intel, OSX 10.4).
At my home I have 2 PCs and one Mac you could learn on, but I noticed it often is preferable to teach people on their own computers - so if you have a laptop that's great, otherwise there is a possibility that I can tutor you at your own place. The choice is yours.
While in college my main focus was programming and software engineering, right now I teach a broad palette of computer skills, ranging from basic to advanced:
- Basic usage
- Internet and email
- Internet safety and security
- Word processing and spreadsheets (Open Office or MS Office)
- Better photos with iPhoto or Adobe Photoshop
- Better movies with iMovie
- Blogging
- Build your own website (for advanced users only)
- HTML and CSS (for advanced users only
- Programming in C, C++, Perl, PHP tutoring (for College students with own textbooks)
Programming, graphical and and web design are also available. I'll send my rates upon request.
