$50 per hour session (South Shore locations only)
$60 per hour session (other locations between Lihue and Kalaheo)Sessions are custom-tailored for each individual student based on specific needs and goals. For example:
Remediation work for students who need a little help catching up
Goal setting, planning, and guidance for students who want to get ahead
Specific, targeted subject work, such as language arts and math

$75 per hour session (South Shore locations only)
$85 per hour session (other locations between Lihue and Kalaheo)2 - 4 students per group. Pricing is per hour for entire group.
We’ll place an emphasis on having fun during these sessions. You don’t have to be a “gifted writer” for these classes to be enjoyable and important for academic growth.
Sessions will be informal and flexible. We’ll use the “slipping some veggies into the brownies” method so students don’t even realize how much they’re learning.
Students will study poetry and short-form fiction (flash fiction, short story, etc)
Focus will be on developing a personal language and vocabulary to use in your own writing
Students will go beyond the basics of plot and story development to learn character development, setting, and much more
(Advanced students may discuss a plan for self-publishing as well!)
Who we are
We are parents. We are former teachers who are still active in education. We have been successful homeschoolers. We’re Kauai locals who are passionate about helping kids thrive in their education here on the island, and helping parents gain some comfort and sanity along the way.
